Daniel and his wife Macey live in Bellefontaine, Ohio. They’re passionate about serving vulnerable children in the Philippines and plan to be full-time missionaries in the near future. For now, they already fuel the mission to end the orphan crisis by building partnerships in the United States.

A few days ago, they hosted a dinner at @vineyardbellefontaine and raised $550 (₱30,657) for Generations—Home here in Manila and a local ministry called Children of God Youth Leadership.

We’re so grateful to the Wilt family and their church community for coming together to impact generations!

Last Mother’s Day, our community of moms enjoyed inspirational talks and informative interviews over brunch. We had a meaningful morning with more than 30 moms who shared their unique stories of love, strength, and perseverance with each other. It’s our joy to build our community together with biological moms, adoptive moms, foster moms, prospective adoptive parents, social workers, and houseparents at children’s homes.

A mom is a mom.

The path of motherhood is lined with difficulties, and the journey is uniquely complex for biological and adoptive moms.

Through everything, they are both resilient women who are often misunderstood. To honor both of them is not an easy feat, but it’s possible and worthwhile, especially when we look at the children who are adopted, loved, and cherished around us.

Two women play a significant role in an adopted child’s life—the biological mom and the adoptive mom. Side by side in the adoption triad, one cannot be without the other. Through this concept, we can acknowledge and honor the crucial parts both mothers play in shaping the child.
